Renovation Church is committed to helping people study the Bible and learn more about God. In light of that, every summer, we offer classes at Renovation U. These 8-9 week courses are amazing ways for you to dive deeper in your faith and learn a lot more about Christianity.

2023 Renovation U Classes
All classes are 8-9 weeks long and meet from 7:00-8:30pm. Registration is now closed for the Summer of 2023. We look forward to offering classes again in the summer of 2024!
Students are required to start with First Steps unless they’ve taken a Bible or Theology class within the last few years. In that case, students may start with Studying God’s Word. After Studying God’s Word, we strongly recommend you take Theology 1 followed by Theology 2, although if those nights don’t work for you, you are free to take any class.
For our Old Testament or New Testament classes, you can take any of them without having taken any previous “survey” classes.

In First Steps, you will get an excellent grounding in the foundations of Christianity. You'll find this class very helpful whether you are just starting in your faith, or if you've been a believer for a while, but have never had an opportunity to really study your faith. We'll cover questions like "why did Jesus die," "how do we know the Bible is true," "does God speak to me," "Why do bad things happen," and more!

In Studying God's Word, you will learn how to both study and interpret the Bible. This class will forever change how you read the Bible (in a good way!). You will study subjects such as: how to understand context in the Bible, how to use other tools/books to help you understand the Bible, how to understand genres in the Bible, and more!

In Theology 1, you will begin to dive deep into some of the major doctrines of Christianity, such as the doctrines of Creation, Trinity, Salvation, and more!

In Theology 2, you will dive deep into some of the major biblical doctrines of Christianity, such as the doctrines of the Holy Spirit, Sanctification, the End Times, and more!

Old Testament Survey 5 is an overview of the history of the Israelite nation in the Old Testament through the books of 1st and 2nd Chronicles, Esther through Nehemiah, and the Minor Prophets. We will be covering major events, key theological themes, and connections with the New Testament. In this class, students will examine books of the Old Testament each week to learn what the authors intended, learn how it ties into God’s greater redemptive story, and more!
