FIRST STEPS
TEACHER: John McCormick
In First Steps, you will get an excellent grounding in the foundations of Christianity. You will find this class helpful whether you are new to Christianity or you have been a Christian for a while but have never had an opportunity to really study your faith. You will study questions like: why did Jesus die, how do we know the Bible is true, does God speak to me, and why do bad things happen. Note: All students must start with this class unless they've taken a theology class within the last few years.

WHAT HAPPENS AT RENOVATION YOUTH?
Renovation Youth meets on Wednesday nights at Renovation Church. Middle Schoolers meet from 6:45pm – 8:15pm and High Schoolers meet from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. We start the night hanging out and playing games in the lobby. Also in the lobby is the Youth Cafe, where students can buy candy and pop for only $1 per item! We then head into the Worship Center for a fun large group game and a time of live worship. After worship, we share a Bible-focused message that students will find relevant, relatable, and encouraging to their faith. The night ends with students participating in small group discussion with students the same age and gender as they are. Our amazing team of adult Small Group Leaders are background checked, trained, and passionate about meeting students and helping them grow in their faith!
